I am exploring the relationship of figures or objects to their surroundings. I am interested in the dynamics between people and the spaces where they exist. My inspiration comes from many sources, my own family photos and found images are starting points. So is a table in my garden with beautiful light and shade. These are the beginnings of the painting journey for me, each one is different brings new inspiration.

My ceramics are hand built from porcelain and mid fire clays. Each piece has two firings in the kiln and is hand painted or brushed with many coats of glaze. My ceramics are all unique, no two are the same. I want to connect to my painting practice by telling stories with clay and glaze, and often just expressing how beautiful the clay can be.
